Psychology professionals (Psychologsits, Registered Counsellors and Psychometrists) have an interest in human behaviour including how people think and feel. After years of study at University in psychology, they apply their knowledge to assess, diagnose, prevent, and treat psychological problems.
Practitioners use scientific methods to study the human mind and behaviour. They develop theories and test them, which provides new information that adds to the body of established knowledge. Some of the areas in which practitioners work include:
